The hype and promise of the technology constantly being brought in overwhelms both MPs <I>and</I> the public, allows tangible evidence to see that something-is-being-done, <B>and</B> on top of all that conveniently displaces any responsibility onto the poor IT bods who said it wouldn't work in the first place (at least, not for that amount in the much time), but get stuck with implementing the f'ing thing.<BR/><BR/>My dad used to quip about pasteurised milk being made to go "past-yer-eyes".
